Welcome, educators! In this guide, we'll explore the essential steps to create program plans efficiently using Digital Childcare.

Program planning is a vital aspect of providing quality childcare, ensuring that activities are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with learning objectives. With Digital Childcare's intuitive platform, educators can streamline the process, saving time and enhancing the overall childcare experience.

Let's dive into the details of crafting effective program plans to enrich children's learning journeys.

Navigate to the sidebar and select "Learning," then choose "Program Plans."

In this window, educators can find all their previous program plans. Use the search bar to enter the name or classroom to navigate through them.

To filter through program plans by rooms, click on the tab beside "Rooms" and select the rooms you want to view.

To search program plans by date, use the arrows to navigate up or down or click on the symbol, enter the specific date, and click OK.

Program plans require approval from the center's admin or designate.

Educators can review specific program plans by clicking on the tab beside "Status."

For each program plan, there is an "Actions" tab that allows educators to edit, duplicate, view any communications, or delete the program plan.

Now, let's proceed to create a new program plan by clicking this button.

Initially, educators will be prompted to provide a name for the program plan, select the corresponding room, and specify the date.

This is where the magic starts. Educators will begin adding all the program activities for the week.

Let's explore some key areas to assist with this process.

In each box for the day of the week, educators can click on "Add activity," and a new window will appear.

In this new window, start adding details for the new activity.

Include essential information like title, summary, description, required supplies, notes, and images to assist all educators implementing the activity effectively.

To identify each activity, simply click on 'Category' and select from the available options listed.

Educators can assign skills to each activity. To search for skills, either browse through the list or select the framework and domain for a faster search.

If necessary, educators can upload images, videos, and documents related to the activity. Attachments can also be added throughout the week to share with families how the activity went with the children.

When all information has been entered or if an educator needs to save the details for later, simply click 'Create and Save'.

The activity will then reappear on the main screen, allowing educators to proceed with adding the next activity.

In the second half of the program plan, educators can address other aspects of the weekly programming. By clicking on any item listed on the left side of the screen, educators can add details by selecting the edit button in the top right corner.

This symbol, found at the top right corner of the page, enables educators to import activities from other plans.

Here, educators have the option to search by activity or lesson plans.

Once all information has been entered, educators can submit their program plan for final approval before making it available to families.

Educators now have a comprehensive understanding of how to review and utilize the program plans feature in Digital Childcare. By following these steps, you can efficiently manage and create engaging program activities for children.
