Daily Activities Guide: Using the Mobile App

Welcome to the Guide on Adding Daily Activities in the Digital Childcare App!


This guide will walk you through the steps to efficiently navigate the app and record daily activities in each child's file. With these easy-to-follow instructions, you'll be able to keep accurate, up-to-date records that enhance communication and support each child's development.








Let’s start on the home screen of the mobile app. 


To add a daily activity, select the child you want to update and then proceed to enter the details.






















On the child's profile page, tap "Add Activity."


                                     


















A new screen will appear, displaying a list of all the different types of activities. 


Let's review each activity option.


















Activity: Food



To record a child's food intake, educators can enter the date and time of the meal. 


Include the meal type, details of what the child ate, and the amount consumed.


Add notes, pictures, videos, or documents if needed.


Click "Save" to submit the entry.












Activity: Fluid


Enter the date and time of the fluid intake. 


Next, specify the fluid type, the meal of the day, and the amount consumed. 


Educators can also add notes, photos, videos, or documents. 


When finished, click "Save."










Activity: Sleep


When monitoring a child's sleep pattern, adjust the start, check, and end times as needed. 


Add any relevant notes, pictures, videos, or documents for the family to view. 


Click "Save" for each entry.














Activity: Toilet


Educators can adjust the date and time to reflect when the child uses the washroom. 


Specify the type of assistance, such as diaper or toilet, and note if the child was wet, dry, or had a bowel movement. 


You can also include any notes, pictures, videos, and/or documents for the families. 


Click "Save" once all the information is entered.












Activity: Health


When a child becomes unwell at the centre, educators can document the illness under the Health tab. 


Record your name, the actions taken to assist the child, and the child's temperature. 


If necessary, add any notes, photos, videos, and documents. 


Click "Save" to submit the information.











Activity: Supply


When items like diapers, diaper cream, or extra clothes are running low or needed, educators can list them here to inform families. 


You can also add notes, pictures, videos, and documents. 


Click "Save" to submit the information.
















Activity: Note


Educators can use this section to share announcements or reminders with families. 


If needed, you can also include photos, videos, and/or documents. 


Click "Save" when you're finished.
















Activity: Accident


To record an accident, whether indoors or outdoors, click on the Accident tab. 


Enter all necessary details, including the type of injury, the number of children and educators present, first aid administered, and more. 


If needed, add any notes, photos, videos, and documents to share with families. 


Click "Save" once all the information is entered.












Activity: Move Room


When a child is moving rooms, this information can be listed here for families. 


Adjust the date and time of the move, select the new room, and include any notes for the families. 


When ready, click "Save" to submit.

















When educators need to enter activities for a few children or the whole group, click the "+" symbol on the home screen. 


Then, select "Add Activity."


















On the next screen, educators will choose the activity.


This feature is useful for sharing reminders in the notes tab or for other activities like sleep checks, where educators can enter information for multiple children.





















After choosing the activity, educators can select multiple children or click "Select All" to choose all the children.




When ready, click "Next" to proceed.













Finally, the chosen activity report will appear, allowing educators to enter the required information.


Click "Save" when ready to share with all families.
