Main Screen Guide: Using the Digital Childcare Mobile App

Welcome to the Main Screen Guide for the Digital Childcare App! 


The main screen serves as your hub for managing all aspects of your childcare centre. Familiarize yourself with the icons and menus available on this screen to navigate seamlessly through daily tasks. 


Let's explore how you can efficiently use the main screen to streamline operations and enhance childcare management.







On the main screen, let's start by reviewing the ribbon on the top of the screen.






In the middle of the ribbon, the room will be listed. If an educator is listed under multiple rooms and needs to access a different room, click on the arrow beside the current room listed.











To access the user's profile, click on the person icon at the top right corner of the page.


                                                                                           








A side window will appear, providing several options. Here, users can change their password or log out.




If an educator has access to other accounts, click on the arrow beside the current account, under "Switch Account."


                         





















In this new window, the educator will be able to select another profile. 


This feature allows admins to designate educators to an admin role while still being able to switch to an educator role when supporting in a classroom.


















On the main screen, it will list all the children currently enrolled in the specific room that 

the user is in. 




If a child's box shows a bed icon, it indicates that the child is currently sleeping.


                                         


If a child has a red exclamation mark, this indicates that the child has an allergy.


                                         


These icons will indicate the child's attendance status.


The child is signed in and present.



The child has left the program and is signed out.


The family indicated that the child would be absent for the day.







Back on the main screen, let's briefly review the tabs at the bottom of the screen. For more in-depth details on some of these tabs, check out our other guides.






The Home tab will take the user back to the main home screen.






  

                                       


The Activities tab allows educators to see weekly reports, notes, and more.
























The Plus tab in the middle of the bottom row allows educators to quickly add a daily activity or an observation for any child.






The Attendance tab allows educators to access their classroom's attendance.






The Observation tab is where educators can create observations or add entries to a child's portfolio.
